Discrete, Sistek – Typo

Somewhere between electro pop and chilled main floor dance, the new release of Discrete and Sistek knows how to fill the space between your headphone speakers with sparkling energy, making you move in the process.

What starts as a soft and gentle electro tune with a defensive bass backing, minimal rhythm and an awesome reverbed atmosphere, evolves into a full-blown energetic dance tune with several melodic synths and those outstanding vocals added.

The secret ingredient might be the perfect interaction between the male and female vocals. They feel as if they were specifially designed to function as one. Both are ultra-soft, melodic and a tiny bit melancholic. And backed by this warm cozy atmosphere created by the single music tracks the whole time. It’s not that often that an electro tune can be called “warm and cozy”, but Discrete knew how to merge those elements in a way that no track is mixed too crisp, nothing gets too energetic or hectic. This feels just like a sea of sound to float in. The vocal and percussive one-shots are placed exactly where they belong, adding a certain kind of mysterious glow to the track. “Typo” is a well-rounded electro dance tune with only one thing missing: a genre classfication. So… I’m gonna name it ‘Discrectro’.
