ETFM – Cybertruck

Hang on, you poor tissue based souls. The fight is not over yet. Learn about the new world order with the latest release of electro producer and singer/songwriter ETFM.

The track builds its mysterious atmosphere with a slow and methodical rhythm and synth setting. With those edgy arpeggiated synth melodies, “Cybertruck” creates a wide-spaced, reverbed and open atmosphere that’s waiting to be explored by the listener. The handmade elements, namely the processed vocals and that awesome distorted guitar, merge into the whole szenario perfectly, although I have no idea why that is. It’s surprises like these why you gotta love music.

While listening to the sound, you find yourself floating in that oddworld-ish interdimensional space between space, time and meaning of life. While your mind is trying to find a lifeline to hold onto, you might as well just close your eyes and enjoy the ride as long as it lasts. Gregory Stephen Johnson, the mind and soul behind what is known as ETFM (Extra Terrestrial Frequency Modulation), is a natural in building pictures with his music in my opinion. The track contains tension, energy and pictures the main lyrical theme in an awesome way that feels partly lost, partly uplifting without taking itself too seriously.
