Saturated – My Final Song

Please don’t let this be his final song. We’ve seen and heard nothing yet.

The last song of the recently released EP “Satch Chapter” of Saturated is huge. We’re talking real emotion and passion here. “My Final Song” hit me unexpectedly with a raw wave of tune and pictures that aim for the heart. With a slow and melancholic music base, the track takes its time to deliver, using an unbelievable flow of the vocals while creating this dark atmosphere with the minimal piano melody that even adds some retro feel to the tune. The male choir vocals let you have a glimpse of what Saturated feels, and I think this song was used to vent all the feel, tension and even aggression that was building up inside. I guess what makes this track so effective is the right mix of melody, rhythm and passion, creating a perfect stage for the artist to shine bright like the sun.

The video along the music was shot with a great sense of what has an effect on the viewer. In a quite basic setting, this clip is done as effective as the music. The beauty of this track is that although this might not be my favourite genre, “My Final Song” turned me into a fan instantly. If you manage to change my mind just through the music you create, I’m hooked. And I’m sure I’m not the only one out there.
