Jakk Fynn – Fire

Check out the new release of Jakk Fynn – THIS is how to create electro pop made to dance to while getting high on emotions.

With a pretty monotone verse part, the vocals are surfing on this warm and fat bass synth melody. I love the way that Fynn uses the melodic backing as his playground. He changes from ‘cold as ice, emotionless and lethargic’ to ’emotional, warm and passionate’ within a second. The backing vocals inject another secret melancholic ingredient for me, making me wanna sing along to the tune. (that reminds me, I need this track in my car asap.) Normally I’m not a big fan of high tone male singing, but in “Fire” everything is exactly where it needs to be. Without those electro-ish uuhs in there, the track would lose some of its appeal in an instant.

The new release of Jakk Fynn is at home at the main floors. This is the soundtrack of a romance that cannot be confined to gender borders or social standards. (I mean, come on now, we’re talking feelings and emotions here.) In my opinion this track expresses what 99.9 percent of you humans out there would like to tell each other every day.
